Saddle up and ride for a good cause
The Redwood Empire Chapter of the Harley Owners Group #0339 will hold their 25th annual charity motorcycle run on Saturday, August 17. The run will benefit the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program.
Interested riders can register on Saturday, August 17 between 8 and 10 a.m. at Michael’s Harley Davidson in Cotati. The ride itself is from 10 a.m. to noon, ending at the Penngrove Park in Penngrove where there will be a party lasting all afternoon.
Everyone is welcome to stop by the park and for a BBQ lunch, live music, raffles, games and more. The $20 entry fee for the run includes a commemorative run pin, BBQ lunch, poker run and run raffle prizes. Tickets for just the lunch event are $10.
The grand raffle prize will be a 2013 Harley Davidson Street Bob, generously donated by Michael’s Harley-Davidson. Raffle tickets are 2 for $5 with all proceeds going to benefit the Meals on Wheels program, which served over 260,000 meals to Sonoma County seniors last year.
Calendars will also be on sale at the event to support the Council on Aging with many Calendar Girls on hand to sign them.
