Every Monday night the Tradewinds serves up some rhythm and blues in their weeklyPro Jam which showcases both local talent and well known acts. The show kicks off at 8 p.m. with a chance for local talent to hit the stage followed by a more polished band at 9 p.m. While the show is free the bands happily accept tips. 8210 Old Redwood Highway. 795-7878.
The Kitchen Kut-Ups will continue their variety-vaudeville styled show on Tuesday, July 9 at the Spreckels Performing Arts Center. This annual event featuring the Kut-Ups variety act is themed, “It’s a Travelin’ Show!” as they take a musical trip across the USA. The show starts at 1 p.m. and tickets are $16 per person and available at the Box Office. Additional shows this week are on Thursday, July 11, and Saturday, July 13 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12. 5409 Snyder Lane. 588-3400.
Dig Into Crafts at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Library on Thursday, July 11. Special guest, Lobo the mascot from SSU will join the library staff as part of the Dig Into Reading program starting at 11 a.m. with some groundbreaking crafts. This is a free event. 6250 Lynne Conde Way. 584-9121.
The Cotati’s Farmer’s Market is rockin’ this Thursday, July 11 after a week off. From 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. with music by Anthony Presti. You can enjoy free music along with plenty of vendors selling food, drinks, crafts and fresh produce. The Free Bookmobile will be on hand as well as jumpees for the kids and more! La Plaza Park.
The 50th Anniversary Cotati Celebration and Annual Kids Day Parade will take place on Saturday, July 13. The annual parade starts at 10 a.m. and will run through the downtown followed by kids events until 1 p.m. Following that will be the 50th celebration featuring music, vendors, raffles and fun until 6 p.m. La Plaza Park.
