Volunteer with WHOA
WHOA Farm, home of, “The best food that money can’t buy” is having another volunteer work day this Saturday, March 16.
As we outlined in a story last month about the farm, Work Horse Organic Agriculture Farm grows and donates organic produce to local agencies. They regularly turn to the local community for volunteer help which allows people to give back to the community and learn more about organic farming in a hands-on environment.
The volunteer shift is from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a meal. Advanced registration to the event is required to allow proper planning of work activities along with meals for the works. To participate, email whoafarm@gmail.com. Saturday’s forecast is for a sunny 72 degree day. For more information about WHOA farm, visit their website at Whoafarm.org.
