Flip Flop Den set to close

Friday, February 22nd, 2013 | Posted by | no responses

The Flip Flop Den, located just off the hub of downtown Cotati, will be closing its doors on Saturday, Feb. 23 after less than a year in business. The store, which sells flip flops along with beach accessories, was a new venture for owner Brian Noah.

Currently the store is closed and a banner hangs on the awning that states, “Going Out of Business Sale!” The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 for a 40% off sale to liquidate inventory. The web site has already been taken down and the phone disconnected.

Noah, who formerly worked in the motorcycle industry, opened the retail store that sits next to Little New York Pizza on March 31 of 2012. He had always wanted to run his own business and felt that a flip flop shop was a unique niche for this area. Having grown up in Rohnert Park, he felt Cotati had the right type of laid back vibe along with proximity to the college for the business to be a success.

The Flip Flop Den is located at 8278 Old Redwood Highway.
