The grand opening and ribbon cutting for Kenny G’s Showcase, a new consignment and second-hand shop, takes place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, features refreshments and an eclectic assortment of furniture, lighting, musical instruments, clothing, collectibles and household items. The American Cancer Society’s Rohnert Park Relay For Life begins with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 23, and continues with a “Fight Back” activities, kids zone, a cardboard-car parade and race, hair donation, Mr. Relay Beauty Pageant and other contests, an ACS gear store, food vendors, a music concert
in the Event Center, 1-5 p.m.

Garbage Reincarnation celebrates the 25th annual Scrapture, a junk art sculpture contest 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, June 24 in Cotati’s La Plaza Park. Artists bring their work from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Junk food, face painting, Clo the Cow, decorate-your-own flower pots, inflatable jumpy house, raffles and live music by Penngrove’s Solid Air. A Sonoma County naturalist leads a free Spanish-language family hike, 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 24 at Crane Creek Regional Park, Rohnert Park, sharing information about the area’s wildlife and creek habitat. All ages welcome, but strollers not recommended. Hikers should wear good walking shoes and bring water. Parking $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
