College Car Wash helps nonprofits raise cash

Sunday, May 20th, 2012 | Posted by | one response

You’ve heard of dine-and-donate events? This local business seeks to keep the community clean and green by partnering with charities on eligible wash purchases.

College Car Wash on East Cotati Avenue is helping local charities to raise funds by donating a portion of every eligible do-it-yourself or “touchless” automatic wash purchase.

Promoting itself as a green alternative to the traditional water-wasting, wet-and-goose-bumped-teenager fundraising event, the wash facility reclaims its used water, generates its own reverse-osmosis rinse water and reuses the wastewater. The day-and-night location also features energy-efficient lighting and new low-water-use native landscaping.

Nonprofits interested in the fundraising program can contact owner Dan Brown, 664-1540, 930 E. Cotati Ave. at Santero Way, Cotati.
