Tuesday, October 4th, 2011 | Posted by | one response

Enjoy German food and beer and the oom-pah-pah of Karl Lebherz and his Bavarian band at the Cotati Oktoberfest, Saturday, 12-6 p.m. in La Plaza Park.

There is no charge for music and dancing under a big top in downtown Cotati at the corner of Old Redwood Hwy. and W. Sierra Ave.

An authentic meal of grilled bratwurst, German potato salad, sauerkraut and gingerbread is $15, including a choice of microbrews from Lagunitas Brewing Company, wine, root beer or water. Vegetarian brats available, too.

The afternoon’s activities include a silent auction of beer steins, 12 to 5 p.m.; Wiener Dog (dachshund)
Races at 2 p.m.; Men’s Tankard Hold at 3 p.m.; Women’s
Beer Stein Race at 4 p.m.
No entry fee, winners get $50.

For more information, to help, or to pre-register for the Wiener Dog Races, contact the Cotati Chamber of Commerce, 795-5508 or chamber@cotati.org.

Also sponsored by Spancky’s Bar, Friar Tuck’s Pub, Costco, Mesa Beverage, Mill Valley Refuse, Redwood Empire Disposal, Saag’s and Sally Tomatoes.
